Pin Grading

Every pin is handmade, making each pin one-of-a-kind! Not every pin is perfect, so they are separated into two grades.

A-GRADE (STANDARD)

A-Grade pins have the highest quality of the batch, but they may have very small flaws that occur naturally in production. Some of these flaws might not be noticeable at first glance unless viewed from up close, such as:

  • Minimal tiny dust, bubbles, or dots in the enamel
  • Light scratches or scuffing on the plating
  • Minor imperfections on the back side of the pins
  • Minor uneven enamel areas

    B-GRADE (SECONDS)

B-Grade pins have slightly more noticeable flaws, such as scratches, particles in the enamel, uneven coating, etc. They might not look flawless as A-Grade pins and are sold at a lower price, but they are still perfect for rugged use! Even I use the worse of the B-Grade pins on my work bag. They include more flaws such as:

    • Noticeable dust, bubbles, or dots in the enamel
    • Visible large scratches or scuffing on the plating
    • Discoloration of the plating or enamel
    • Major uneven enamel areas
    • Slightly loose posts on the back

Any photo of an enamel pin on this site may look different from screen to real life. When purchasing any enamel pin, it is assumed that you have read, understood, and agreed to this grading scale. Thank you!
